Acting for a family group of companies we helped to negotiate the purchase of a complementary business. Both the selling and acquiring business had not been through this process before and required our help to “hand hold” them through the process of business valuation to reaching an amicable agreement for both parties.

The Outcome?

We were able to illustrate that price and payment terms have to be negotiated together and in doing so were able to demonstrate the importance of bringing in advisers early in the acquisition process.
