Cloud Assistant (Newcastle & Hale)

You will provide quality service and assistance in all aspects of the firms clients bookkeeping requirements.

Working closely with the Cloud Manager, and our Client Managers, your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Provision of bookkeeping services to clients
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Ensuring a high level of accuracy and consistency in bookkeeping functions to TB stage (for handover to Accounts Team)
  • Carrying out cloud solutions demonstrations and training for existing and prospective clients
  • Providing support to clients to convert them from their existing bookkeeping and accounting practices to their chosen cloud solution
  • Liasing with Client Managers/Team Leaders to ensure efficiency and accuracy of bookkeeping and the clients progress through the Thompson Wright accounts preparation process
  • Cloud accounting experience (Xero/Quickbooks/Receipt Bank/AutoEntry/Hubdoc)

You must possess a can-do attitude, be adaptable, pay good attention to detail and possess good communication skills.

You will hold a clean driving license and have access to transport, as you may be visiting clients at their premises.

It is highly essential that you have Xero experience as a large volume of the work will be prepared using this software.

Role Description

Dealing with a wide spectrum of clients, with a key focus on proactively supporting our clients. You will take responsibility for a portfolio of payroll clients and delivering a quality service.

Main duties include:

  • Processing of timely and accurate weekly, monthly & 4 weekly payrolls for approximately 560
    clients.
  • Assisting and advising clients on payroll, pension legislation, (particularly auto enrolment) & GDPR regulations and providing subject matter expertise in relation to payroll best practice.
  • Full end to end knowledge of all aspects of the payroll service, including reconciliations, reporting and BACS payments and ensuring all statutory requirements are met on behalf of the
    clients.
  • Supporting your colleagues with workflow demands.

 

Profile

You will:

  • Have a proven track record of ensuring attention to detail, delivering a high standard of accuracy within tight timescales.
  • Be proficient in the use of Sage 50 & knowledge of Xero would be an advantage (but not essential)
