Dan has been with Thompson Wright since 2008, and was appointed as an Associate Director in 2022, Dan specialises in advising on complex corporate transactions, with a particular focus on group restructures, business sales, and management/employee ownership transitions. He brings a calm, solutions-driven approach to his work, helping clients navigate change with confidence and clarity.

Dan works closely with owner-managed businesses across a range of sectors, delivering tailored, commercially focused tax advice that supports long-term goals. Whether assisting with a third-party sale or acquisition, a management buyout, restructure or employee ownership trust (EOT) transaction, Dan takes pride in making the complex feel simple — ensuring clients understand the tax implications without getting lost in jargon.

What sets Dan apart is his ability to balance technical knowledge with practical thinking. He’s passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and working as a trusted sounding board for big decisions.

Dan became a qualified accountant in 2011, and later in 2016 qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor.

Dan enjoys travelling, in particular he has a soft spot for visiting Scotland for its stunning beauty and many malt whisky distilleries.
