On 14 June a number of our staff are doing a Midnight Mountain Climb Challenge from Snowdon base camp to the summit in complete darkness.
You might ask “WHY”?
Well, in recent months Thompson Wright has been touched by Cancer and a couple of our staff have been affected. So, we thought “what can we do – how can we help?”
We’ve chosen to support Pink Sisters who are a wonderful group based in Stoke-on-Trent – they predominantly support Breast Cancer but they also offer support to anyone with any cancer diagnosis.
Pink Sisters are currently fundraising to enable them to open a tearoom / drop in centre for cancer sufferers and their families to ensure that support is readily and easily accessible on a daily basis and we want to help them achieve this.
Our team will set off just before midnight on 14 June aiming to see the sun rise on the next day – after admiring the view, they will return to base camp to celebrate with a well-deserved breakfast. Its tough as its so dark but its nothing compared to the ongoing battles faced by the members of this Group and the people they support.
If you would like to help Pink Sisters open their tearoom / drop in centre then please support us by giving whatever you can. The link below will take you straight to our Just Giving Fund Raising Page.
On behalf of Pink Sisters thank you for your generosity.
