Thompson Wright get in the festive spirit with a generous charitable donation

Staffordshire accountancy firm Thompson Wright is trying to make Christmas extra special this year by taking part in an international charity campaign.

The practice, which has offices in Newcastle-under-Lyme and Leek, has shown its support for the Teams4U organisation by sending more than 22 carefully prepared gift packages to the charity’s nationwide shoebox appeal.

Thompson Wright has supported this cause for several years now and its team regularly dig deep to fill boxes with everyday essentials, like gloves, socks and toiletries, as well as small gifts of toys.

The shoeboxes are then collected by Teams4U and transported to a vulnerable child, or family, through schools, nurseries, hospitals and orphanages in Eastern Europe.

Jess Swinton, a Director at Thompson Wright, said: “At this time of year, many people decide to give back to others and we wanted to make sure we were supporting those most in need.

“We have a well-established relationship with Teams4U and know the difference that these donations make to those who receive them, so our team always give generously.”

As well as giving out gifts to those in need via the shoebox appeal, the firm has gone the extra mile this year to decorate and light up their offices at Ebenezer House in Ryecroft, Newcastle Under Lyme with a stunning light projection display.

“The last year has been difficult, few can deny that, which is why we wanted to bring a little extra festive cheer this year by lighting up our offices with a festive display,” added Jess.

“It is only a little touch, but it has certainly made us all feel in the Christmas spirit and I hope those that pass our offices get a little extra cheer as well.”
